Editorial Policy
Principles of Transparency
This journal is committed to the principles of transparency.
This journal has established guidelines for editorial independence, as described below. The guidelines generally follow those created by the World Association of Medical Editors.
1. This journal is managed by the Institute of Biophysics, an independent research institution.
2. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the independent management of the editorial activities of this journal. The Deputy Editor-in-Chief reports to the Editor-in-Chief for all editorial matters.
3. The journal has multiple editorial directors based on the subject areas covered. Each of these editorial directors has their own board of directors.
4. The Editor-in-Chief has full authority over the content of this journal and its content, including summaries and commentaries on recent advances in various scientific fields, opinion pieces, blogs, and news.
5. Content decisions are based on the quality, relevance, and value to the journal's users. Authors, editors, and staff of this journal are free to express responsible opinions, even if such opinions do not align with the interests, policies, or published research, editorials, or commentary of the Bioenergy Institute.
6. This journal actively solicits input from the Editors in an advisory capacity, as well as from other members of the Editorial Board, internal editorial staff, and readers, regarding editorial matters.
7. The Editors of this journal are free to create content and commentary without any commercial or organizational influence. All authors and editors operate without conflicts of interest, and all potential conflicts are disclosed (please also see the Conflict of Interest Policy).
