Neurophysiological Correlates of the Summa Aurea® Method: Dissociation Between Estimated Delta Band Activity and Psychosomatic State in a Cardiocentric Scalar Somatognostic Framework

Abstract
Background: The Summa Aurea® Method has been formalized as a “phase driver” capable of realigning the Informed Scalar Soliton (Soul) toward Golden Resonance. Previous studies (Fabbroni et al., 2026) have demonstrated its effectiveness in modifying Heart Rate Variability (HRV) indices, in providing analgesic and stress-relieving effects (Molinari CG, Sanna A, Fabbroni R, et al., 2025) and in improving self-esteem and self-efficacy (Fabbroni R, Molinari CG, et al., 2026).
Objective: To verify whether the Summa Aurea® Method produces an objective change in the estimated neurophysiological spectrum (increase in Delta) and whether this change is independent of the psychosomatic state.

Methods: Three groups of 15 adult subjects (ages 45–60) were analyzed under standardized conditions using the Alfa system (single-channel ECG, 5-minute recording). Group A: Summa Aurea-treated (Delta >50%, Psi >50%) (Fabbroni R., 2021); Group B: healthy control (Delta <25%, Psi >50%); Group C: subjects with distress (Delta >50%, Psi <30%).

Statistical Analysis. Statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS software (version 28.0). Data are expressed as mean ± standard deviation (SD). The normality of the distributions was verified using the Shapiro-Wilk test; the homogeneity of variances was verified using Levene’s test. A one-way ANOVA was used to compare the three groups, followed by Tukey’s HSD post-hoc test for pairwise comparisons. The correlation between Delta and the Psychosomatic Index was assessed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Statistical significance was set at p < 0.05. Effect sizes were calculated using η².

Results: The ANOVA revealed significant differences among the groups for Delta [F(2,42) = 324.5, p < 0.001] and for Psi [F(2,42) = 149.8, p < 0.001]. The Delta scores for Group A (58.5 ± 5.2%) and Group C (67.9 ± 7.4%) did not differ significantly (p = 0.12), but both were higher than those of Group B (14.0 ± 4.7%) (p < 0.001). The Psi for Group A (65.1 ± 9.8%) and Group B (70.6 ± 9.6%) did not differ (p = 0.18), but both were higher than that of Group C (21.9 ± 4.9%) (p < 0.001). The Delta-Psi correlation was not significant (r = -0.13, p = 0.38).

Conclusions: The Summa Aurea® Method induces a measurable change in the estimated neurophysiological spectrum, characterized by an increase in Delta activity. This change represents an objective indicator of “deep introspection” and informational realignment, distinct from the mere state of emotional well-being. The data support the validity of the Cardiocentric Scalar Somatognosics model.
